The relationship between New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his former head coach Mike McCarthy was once thought to be irreparable. Now, those old thoughts appear to be nothing more than the perspective of outside noise and not the reality of what either side dealt with.

The Jets have a head coach opening and Mike McCarthy is available. Aaron Rodgers heaped praise onto his former coach on ESPN.

Whatever McCarthy’s next career move is, he’s not expected to head toward the New York Jets. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints are expected to pursue McCarthy.
